A New Form of Creativity

Junk Journal. It's an interesting term. I don't think of mine as a junk journal but I'm unsure what else to call it. Whatever you call it, it's been a great tool for my creativity. It's a way to be creative without writing and I get to use my hands.

I'm also using it as a place to write poems. I prefer to write form poetry, such as a Rondel or Sestina. So far, that's what's taken up residence here in my junk journal, but I'm only about a quarter of the way through; it could change.

I love this new outlet of creativity. It helps on the days when the words feel like pulling teeth, stuck deep in the gums, and painful as they come out. I can still fulfill that creative urge and feel productive (even if it really isn't).
